When the car is cold it takes a minute to take drive. Reverse takes just fine and so does park. It shift smooth after you start driving and once it gets warm. Well I have been driving another car for the past month or so. I dropped the transmission pan on the lincoln today and drained. I changed the gasket and filter. Put a bottle of lucas in it and new transmission fluid. After doing that the **** car still does the same thing. Anybody have any ideas?

It just doesnt make since that reverse and park take fine and it shifts smooth when your driving. Also there was no metal shavings in the pan.

Take is a english word and it can be used to describe the transmission taking the proper gear. Either use contex clues to figure out what I mean or stfu.

well if your fat, drive it up on some ramps and take a look.

Just get under the car and look on the drivers side about half way down the shift cable will be attatched to a lil peice of metal.

They told me 600 just to drop the transmission out of it. Not counting parts and labor. Plus I dont really trust to me places because they always tell you there is 10 other things wrong with it.
