Pics of your amps mounted to your box.

I've had a buddy fvck up a newer PPI amp from mounting it to the box. Didn't take long either. The gain connection on the board broke loose and you couldn't adjust it anymore.

I always just use some thick rubber feet when I mount my amps to the box and have never had a problem.

like i said , i will only be running 400wrms tops from a kicker 550.3.

so what about the bolts/screws coming in from the port wall? any problems there?

i would put that more on someone abusing the gain knob when turning it, thats the last thing i would expect to break off

I normally put an extra layer of MDF on the side of the box that I mount my amps to...never had a problem.

ive always thought the same thing. since you drive a blazer , let me ask you , whats do you think is the simplest way to keep my box from sliding (or beaming at my head in case of an accident) without making a false floor or bolting through the floor.

right now im at getting one or two of those 'O' bolts , a couple washers , and lock nuts and use a tie down strap to the loops that are already in the cargo area.
I think I can answer this one. If you got cargo tie-downs like I do, simplist way is to hit up the hardware store and get a few long bolts (maybe less than a dollar each)that match the threads of the tie-down threads and drill a few holes on the bottom of the sub box, of course aligning it so it goes where you drilled, and then bolt down. But not too tight, bolt will actually go thru the MDF easily.
