nice!!!!!!!!!!!
id try and slip some nicer subs in, not that the cvrs are junk, but thats just a nice box and all

nice deck too:veryhapp:
I am getting some better subs in the summer but I had these CVRs laying around and being a college student, I don't have a lot of money to throw around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif So they'll work for now, they don't sound too bad.

I thought about flush mounting the amp but the box would would been a little too tall. Plus I want to keep it as cool as possible considering it's a Hifonics. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Very nice indeed.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I have an explorer to and I want to build a similar enclosure and I have 2 question? How did you get the contour for the wheelwell to cut the wood so that it would fit all nice and snug? And how did you make the oval for the outer panel for the cut?

thanks

To find the contour of the wheelwell, I used a wire coathanger and shaped it to fit on the contour. Then I simply traced that onto the MDF. For the oval part, I drew everything out on the MDF by using circles using the yardstick and nail method. Then I just cut the center portion out and rounded the edge off with a router. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Awhile back I did one with a really simmilar shape (bit bigger) in my 2000 Blazer...

I took three peices of real thin cardboard or poster board ( 3 becasue of the width) and then took one sheet for each side and slowly cut out a bit at a time till it fit the contour of the trucks interior pretty good...

Once I had each side cut to an acceptable shape, I stapled all three together to make it long eough to be one big sheet...

Then I put the whole thing back in for a final test fit.. When i was happy, I laid that on top of my MDF, using it as a Template, I traced it... Then I cut it out and test fit it again... I made sure the edges were sanded smooth and stretched vinyl over it and covered it....

I think it came out pretty decent for an amateur...
