I got my 06 L7s in the other day to replace my 05 L5s...quite a big difference in output. Anyways I went ahead and decided to take a few pics of the current wall before I do the rebuild. This was the very first wall I've built. I thought it turned out fairly well for being my first wall and only being 17 years of age. The only thing wrong with it, which is the most important part is it doesn't have NEAR enough output. Now that Ive got the L7s its just slightly louder than it was in the trunk. With the L5s it was actually louder in the trunk. So hopefully it was just a bad box design and/or build. This went is in a 94 4 door honda accord.

Current Box: (Around 11 cubes I believe)

(I know I **** at sketchup. Anyone wanna teach me? PM me lol)

New Box Design: (Around 8 cubes)

Would love to get some input from you guys on what might be wrong with the first box, and of course please let me know if you see anything wrong with the new box. I am going to start cutting the wood tomorrow, so if anything looks to be wrong or if something could be improved on the new design please let me know ASAP. Thanks everyone.

I've built a couple walls if you wanna chat hit me up on aim my screen name is kartunesmike. What are you tuning to? What are you trying to accomplish? What do you have for power, batts, amps, alt, batteries? What are you hitting right now? What's your note? Like I said hit me up or pm me and I can give you what tips I have.

Sorry just saw on the bottom what you have. Was that score db drag or Usaci? I can tell already if you want to get loud, get at least one more amp and a bunch of big batteries. Have you found your cars note yet? With the wall? Lots of things will factor into your build when you are designing a wall to get loud in competition. I'm putting a quick wall in our saturn in mid july for one show if my system doesn't sell before then. Should be fun for the day just to see what I can do with 4-12" and 5000-7500 rms.

The box without the plug is tuned to 50 hz I believe and with the plug 36 hz. I'm not going to be doing any major competing just some of the more local shows. So it will be more of a daily driver but I will also be attending some of the shows. The comps I go to allow you to put the meter anywhere in front the b-pillar, usually in the floorboard on passenger side with the driver door open.

I should be gettin a kinetik 2400 in the next couple weeks.

Well we weren't able to get started this morning like we were planning on it because we had a accident last night in my buddies truck. We were at least 2 car lengths behind the truck in front of us goin down the highway and all of a sudden he slammed on his breaks and came to a DEAD stop. So we ran into the back of him. He told the cops we were riding his tail. Luckily a jeep beside us stopped by and told the cops that we were quite a ways back and the other truck just slammed on the breaks for no reason so the other guy got the fault.

So his little plan backfired on him. The dude was 19, and slightly after the accident when we found out his name we found out that he is gay. That makes it even worse. Whats funny is it didn't do hardly any damage to his truck but on my buddies truck it pushed bent one of his towin hooks all the way in, knocked his grill loose, big dent on the chrome bumper, bent his license plate badly, and a few other things. So he should be gettin a fairly nice amount of money for it.

Anyways back on topic: We might start cuttin some of the wood later on today, but I figure we will just start tomorrow morning. I already have all the wood, screws, and silicone. All I still have to get is some tightbond and some all thread.

Where do you buy tightbond at anyways? I usually use gorilla glue but I was told that tightbond works better for boxes because it makes a better contact.

if you have straight cuts then it will be better. gorilla glue is probably better for filling in gaps though
I guess I'm gonna try to find some titebond. Put it on the edges to hold the box together. Then of course screws to hold hold the box together while the box drys, then also for a little more added strength. Then I'm gonna use silicone on the inside of the box. Then i'm gonna run a thing of all thread from top to bottom and front to back on each side of the port. So 4 pieces of 1/2" all thread.

When doing the all thread from front to back should I have the all thread go through the double baffle on the front, or should I just go through the first layer?

well I got the wall done this past weekend. Its not completely done yet but for the most part it is. Still got some pretty nice sized gaps on each side of the wall that needs to be filled. Top and bottom are sealed pretty good. Anyways I got to borrow my buddies termlab today and tomorrow. Was busy just about all day today and only got to play around with the meter for a few minutes but I hit a 150.1.

Gonna try to do some more testing tomorrow.

Will post some pics of the build in a day or so.

Edit: Also I'm hitting a little higher with the port plug inserted. Peaked at 47 hz with the plug in and 56 with the plug out.

Alright here are the pictures. I didn't take a whole lot during the build...because i was too busy...well cutting and building it. lol

Had a little bit of extra wood so I thought I could make something to hold the amps....not too awful fancy but gets the job done and looks better than the amps just sitting on the trunk floor.
