im having trouble getting them all to work i can only get the sub and 3 others to work, im not sure what to do, i tried almost every different combination of hooking up the 3 wires to the back, well i have pics so maybe some one can help me,

heres a overall pic

pic of back of the sub, i know thats right, its color coded, lol

these next three are pics of back of my computer, i tried almost ever different combonation, if i take the green out nothing happens if i take the black out 2 go out, if i take the orange out one goes out, so the green i plugged into everyother one and nothing happens

the orange plug is the top speaker then the black is 2 speakers and the green is 2 speakers, the green outlet and the purple one is for the back and front, then all thats left is the top which i cant get,

then heres a pic of the controlpanel where i can change it to 5.1 7.1 i tried almost all of them and nothing changes

On the rear panel of the computer that yellow RCA connection looks like it is a S/PDIF connection. This will give you a 5.1 digital audio connection via one cable, however it doesnt look like your speakers have a SDPIF connection, if they are true 5.1 they should have one. What speakers are you using??

Secondly, that screeshot of the control panel is not the control panel you should be using. You will need to go into the software control panel that is for your onboard sound card. (NOTE: This is not the "Sounds and Multimedia" control panel in "Control Panel", which that screenshot is - it is a separate program the card manufacturere should have included) There, you should have an option to change the output to different configurations, or, enable 5.1 output. Thats all I can really suggest right now. Most of integrated (on board) sound cards drivers also install a software application which you will need to hunt down and install unless you already have it installed. I cant tell you what it is called or where to get it unless you know your motherboard brand and model number. The connections look OK, it is more than likely a software problem.

thanks effendi i went into the software for my sound card its nividia nforce, and i messed around with the 5.1 it works not, thanks allot!
No problem. That will be $45.00.

(( System Diagnosis of $35.00 per half hour, plus the Morono tax charge of $10.00 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ))
