PICS! BMW X5 install I did today.

Looks clean. I would lose those grills though and go with some wire ones if I was them.

I didn't want to use them but they said they were still gonna make use of what room was left in the cargo area.

I originally wanted to do 1 12" and the same amp and fiberglass it but they didn't want to spend the $

x2 on those grills, eck. I guess the customer is always right.

1 type x and the same amp would be just as loud i would presume and use less space.

Just for shits and giggles, What was the final figure on this install?

How do the 2 10s fill the cabin? Seems like it should be somewhat loud cause its kinda a small SUV.

Yeah it got fairly loud for what its intentions were.

I guess cause the trunk was a bit faded from putting stuff back there, i cleaned the hell out of it and thats the end result, couldn't get any closer of a match, according to BMW it is the same color.

I believe the got at least a couple G's for that. Volume was 1.2 per chamber.

There is a slot in the back, I don't think heat is going to be an issue.

1.2 cubes huh, I would think that wouldn't sound that great. I've had mine anywhere from .5-1 cube and .8 was the best I found. Looks like a pretty simple job for multiple thousands of dollars but if he's happy and completely unaware that with a little bit of effort he could have done the same thing for a fraction of the price, thats all that counts, lol. Do you work in a local shop or for a chain?

Local shop C.A.R.S. in Greenwich CT. 1.2 cubes after displacement. Yes they could have done it themselves but people around here have way too much money and don't think anything of it.
