PICS!! 1997 Expedition Competition Build..

cool build.
did you cut that with a laser? otherwise the sawblade takes out a 1/16th of an inch, and your pieces wont be perfect.

also, what speaker is that?

audiobahn doesn't make anything that beefy?

customish thing with audiobahn dustcap?
I use a circular saw most of the time, I've never really had any problems with them being off.. I kno what you mean though, Ill have to watch out for that..

You probably won't be the loudest around tuning. I would tune around 45hz or so and you should peak around 50-55hz. If you tune around 50hz, you may peak higher than 55hz which will hurt your overall run.
Yea, your right Im gonna try for around 45hz and see what happens, I lost some decibels having to play that sweep tuning at 58 last time..

he said its an immortal... just an older version without the magnet coverhttp://www.cardomain.com/item/ABNAWIS15P

how many of those puppies are u gonna use?
I am going to use 2 of them in this build.. should be loud either way, might not be the best but Ill find that out the hard way I guess..

And these have been rumored that they were built by RE.. Ive asked scott, but no reply? No Im not for sure..

PICS in a bit!!

Still needs a few coats of paint, more caulk, smooth a couple spots, and ofcourse a top.. tuned at 46hz it came out to..

sorry for the delay of updates.. had to fix a neighbors radio.. anyone deal with FM radio problems on a 91 GMC Sierra truck? No fm, and no antenna spot or cable behind it.. hmm..

the antenna plugs into the tuner thats located under the dash towards the drivers side.

Not a bad choice of subs this is possibly the best sub tht Audiobahn ever made tht ive heard at least. I remember seeing the audiobahn van about 5 years back had 4 of these w/ 4 SPL5000Ds doing in the high 160s. Ive heard a few in daily setups they are sum loud *****es, but the SQ is a lil below par.

Now I wish somebody would figure out how to build a good box to go behind the third row seat...
im sure it can be done.

i have two 18"s behind the back seat in my grand cherokee. and its below the window lines...

Yea this is my moms ride.. nothing special, all stock, so its gonna make some noise after I throw my stuff in there.. im not expecting super high numbers.. I would like to break 145 on that crap mic though, which I really think could be done, if I hit 143.1 with one (yes in my civic) but these should cause some racket.. I am impessed with these for being Audiobahn.. but with these (rumor of RE made) but they look like they really focused on quality of the sub (maybe not SQ, but ya kno) and not chrome and looks.. very solid woofer in my eyes, and the SQ isn't impressive, but its to at least par for the noise these ****ers make..

pics in 1 sec..
