Phoenix Gold Speakers

Looking for a cheap SQ set up and thinking pg ZR 6" comps in the front and pg 6x9 R coxials in the back for some rear fill... how do these speakers sound? Any better suggestions in this price range.. can get a full set of speakers for under $100... going to amp them with 50-60rms each..

Try to find RSd's first. Also, for that price, I think it is fairly hard to find comparable drivers, unless you want to experiment with stuff like Audiobahn low-line speakers, etc...

I found RSD 6x9 which I could get for the rears but do they make rsd 6.5 comps?

found the rsd 6.5s on their site but cant find any for sale.. nvm found them lol.. prob going to go with these instead for the extra $25...

The reason I suggested them is they have much better midbass punch and better SQ than the R line, and they cost marginally more. Heck, from what I'm reading, the entire RSd driver line-up is excellent for the money, and it is proven by the fact that they are getting hard to come by.

Yes, very hard to find the rsd's. Fairly comparable to the Elites that morel made for PG a while back. Though not on the same level, they do share some of the same sound charecteristics.

C4audio.net ... speakers were on ebay for $66... comparable to Crystal SSCS 6
