You may be missing midbass and it may sound hollow. On the other hand, the phase being reversed might be necessary due to crossovers. Try reversing it and see if it sounds better or worse.

Looks out of phase only through phone.
When in doubt, use an app called Signal Generator and play tones in the tens. The phase will be easier to distinguish.
