people with nasty cars and the installers who have to work in them

Someone brought in a Alero in, went to the back got in it and like FELL back in the seat, leaned forward and looked back at it and saw it was actually pretty far forward so I leaned back and agian and then I got this smell of something nasty, like the selll of a ghetto gym. Like someone sat in there car for months and months and months and just sweated. So I have to like lean forward to drive the car in and when I get out of the car I looked back in and could see the ****ing IMPRINT of the guys body basicly in the seat! He had sweat stains on the actual seat and you could basicly see where the guy sat!

Back was covered in mcD bags and the othre half was taco bell. There was ****ing mold going from one bag of taco bell to what looked like a double cheese burger from mcdonalds! Thank god I only have to do a cd install. But then as I pulled his stock deck out I could see something coming out of the tape deck, looked in there and there was wrapers from mcdonalds in there as well!

I can honestly remember the rest of the day my shirt smelt like shit and I just waned to go into the bathroom sit in the sink and bath right there.

iv'e been as nasty as i wanna be in my truck since i work on it exclusively...

wonder how dusty it'll be when i take it outta storage next year though.

rest assured, it'll be clean if i ever bring it into your shop //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

One car I was supposed to do rear speakers in the back deck, the grilles bolted from under the deck so you had to take them off from inside the trunk, opened the trunk and it was filled with rat pellets, refused to work on it and returned everything.

Another I was doing a complete system in a Jag on 20"s, some drug dealer...found DVD's of animal **** throughout the car...

Another we found 2 big black garbage bags filled with **** VHS's

Ummm....one car I was doing rear speakers in and the entire back seat was filled with the beach...chairs, newspapers, sand everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

I've worked on a shitload of cars where the trunk is waterlogged and is moldy as hell...disgusting.

Worked on a conversion van that some old hippie lived in...filled with garbage and reeked of B.O./garbage/weed

I can't even remember how many nasty cars I've worked on...

Yeah, I was talking to a buddy of mine that works at a local audio shop, and he was telling me about this one time this real white trash kinda guy came in for some new rear speakers.. and when he went to go install em, he found a dead snake, which he said looked like a fairly large python. Well I dont know how many of you have smelled a decomposing snake, but it is VERY foul. Needless to say, he puked all over the guy's trunk, and told the owner he wouldnt pay to have it cleaned because the owner didnt even have the courtesy to clean his trunk beforehand.

I always clean my car before anyone whose opinion I may care about sees it (I.E. Girls, my parents, installers, when i go to car meets).

i done a install the other day that was bad,i lifted 1 of the floor side panels and millions of ants was under the carpet,so i went and got some bug spray and spray this dudes car and put a extra charge on his bill for bug spray.lol

A woman came into the Roadshop at CC one day- she was really nice, friendly, good customer, although she was a tad larger. She selected the radio she wanted, and asked us if we could install it in her 99 Integra that afternoon. Since the shop was dead, we agreed. So she pulls it around and I get in the car to pull it into the garage. I almost yaked as soon as I sat in the car.

So I get it in the shop, and instead of grabbing seat covers and floor mats, as is usual procedure, I grab a trash can and the shop vac. I pulled at least 30 fast food wrappers and bags out of the car. Rotten, half eaten burgers, fries, etc. To compensate for the nasty smell eminating from her car, she had placed about 2 dozen air fresheners throughout the car. So once I got out of the bags and rotting food out of the way, I got to the carpet.

The woman obviously had a dog.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Not Good. The floor was covered in a thick.... sludge of dried Coke, Milkshake, dog excrement, air freshener oil, grease..... and it was all held together by a mat of dog hair. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif

Anyone whos had to install a radio in an Integra knows that to get the radio out, you have to lay down in the floor board and get at the screws in the back of the dash. So I had to get on the floor and get the screws out. My manager just said get a floor mat for it. Heck no. I got a pair of heavy canvas seat covers and put those in the floor. Throughout the install, I had to keep getting out of the car to get gasps of air.

my dad and i have worked on totaled vehicles that were fatal rollovers, and the nasty human stuff has a bad odor...but the worst, absolute worst thing i have ever smelled or came across was when i was roughly 16 or so, this elderly woman brought her car in for a side impact repair...i was r&i'ing the seats and interior and i slid my right hand underneath the passenger seat to put the socket on the seat track and my hand went right into something that felt like the insides of a human body or something, i was like oh man wtf and as soon as i started to move my hand the smell nailed me and i fell back, my hand had a blackish gray goo on it, i started puking instantly....turned out to be an old cantaloupe that must have fallen under there along time prior to me getting there...
ive had a few cats and birds and even a goose fall out of motors when dropping the block or working up underneath, not near as bad...
I thought you was gonna say the lady shit herself when she crashed LOL

i can't wait to pull out all my interior again and clean it. i don't see how these people can drive their cars like this. if i meet a girl and take her out, i don't want her having to climb over moldy fast food bags and empty coke cans and whatnot. or when i'm showing off my system (at car meets, or to friends, etc) i don't want them to remember how trashy my car was but how good it sounded. tho my dash is still dusty as hell. haven't wiped it off since i said i would back in april //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I think people should be charged extra for that crap. Like places that offer free installs shouldn't cover picking up trash in the car just to start the install
oh yeah, i was gonna mention, ppl also use install shops like car wash places where you can vacuum out your car (but have the shop do it for free AND you don't have to do anything except wait) at the cost of the install. extra labor should be charged like $5 per bag, $3 per wrapper, etc (high prices to keep them from making you clean out the car).

I was helping a friend install one time and kept smelling this nasty dirty foot smell in his car. When I removed his front passenger seat, I found a dead alligator lizard smashed up inside his seat adjustment tracks.

Alligator lizards smell like crap when they decompose.
