people with nasty cars and the installers who have to work in them

When I was installing my friend's amp, I found a dead mouse under the back seat. It was in an old Mustang Ghia. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

one time, this indian from the reserve came down to get an amp\subs\4ch put in, and he wanted speaker wires ran to his doors instead of being chincy and using stock wires.

he paid extra of course, trying to dick us over with labor charges. anyway, his car was absolutly filled with cigarette ashes and the floor was sticky with what seemed to be spilled softdrinks and coffee. it was absolutly disgusting. 02 pontiac grand am too. was nasty.

another car, the woman was def. trailor trash. her rear speakers were not working and we had previously installed them. i got in to take a look, and i said that her tinsel leads were RIPPED loose. she insided that it was the wires running to the speakers, i told her she was wrong. then she INSISTED because her boyfriend told her on the phone that the wires were bad, so i ran wires from her headunit to the speakers. well again - the entire inside of the vehicle was sticky. i was trying to hold my breath because it smelled like ***. they had seat covers over the seats to cover up all the stains and stickyness, the backseats had a childseat wich i removed to get the seat to fold down, the rear deck was covered in what looked to be M&M's and chex mix. well, the m&ms were all over the interior, and MELTED to every surface. and they leaked down the rear deck and onto\into the rear speakers. this was all in an 01 olds alero. i was so disgusted with these people because they sat there the whole time, and then she got all pissed off because the speakers didnt work when i was done lawl.

last one, it was like 9PM on a friday and i didnt do jack all day, then this army lady came in with her 96 honda civic hatch. well - as some of you may know hondas are a PITA because you gotta take all that shit apart. well her car was in storage for a year while she was int he service, and it got stolen from the storage lot. the ******* stole her headunit, and got into an accident - so the poliece retrieved her car. window was broken out and not too much damage. so the car got put back in storage. well, for 3 years with a broken window - the car developed a mould problem. the inside of this thing was COVERED in mould. dash, seats, floor - everything. she just needed a new daskhit popped in - because thats all ya gotta do for the civic's after you remove the stock radio right? well. turns out the jackass that installed her orgional aftermarket HU didnt remove the ****ing bracket for the radio - just the radio itself (somehow). so the dashkit that we had didnt fu*king fit. so i had to take the ENTIRE f*cking dash off - im covered in mould, i ened up staying past closing time to get it done, and i felt like shit be cause i was breathing in all this mould. i ended up doing a **** good job, but it was prolly the nastiest vehicle ive ever been inside. other than the mould it was clean, but god that was gross.

worked in a mini van puttin in a dvd player and headrest tvs. and the kids used the backseat cup holder as a ceral bowl. then didnt clean it up after months and months. ya nice smell there

another time an old man came in and he wanted new speakers. his were blown no big deal. but one problem the guy was crazy and kept jars of urine in the trunk and he pissed all over his front and back seats. well thats when i decided thats the rookies frist job besides sweeping the shop

for all you installers. lets hear thoes horror stories of working in thoes cars that are so messy its makes you sick.
my last nasty car, I stepped on a used condom in back installing an amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
ewwww

the grossest thing i ever found was an old, rusty razor blade under the rear seat of my Impala

my dealer around here just had a truck, a stock version of mine, 05 silverado LT ext cab z71 though, and it belonged to a farmer. there was more dirt inside the truck than outside. lift up the door sill panels and there was mud caked in it. there was dirt behind the dash, covering the gauges. took a compressor to the interior. all the new gear he was putting in it was like throwing it in a garbage can. production date of the truck was less than 8 months ago too. the thing barley ran because the engine compartment was so dirty. bad stuff.

Not a bad story but a good one. I pulled the seats to get under the carpet of my 96 Pontiac GTP ( this was like 8 yrs ago). Found an original 1958 Mickey Mantel baseball card in a hard case. It wasnt his rookie card, it was only worth $500 in a Beckett at the time. No card shop would buy it though. Stll have it, best thing I ever found installing any car audio gear.

God forbid some farmer use his truck for farming. I mean not everyone can be like you and just lift a nice truck and use it just for driving around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I dont understand why you think just cause you find something under a seat you can keep it? You kno that's called stealing right?

Especially when you had a good idea that it was worth money...

ava. he said "pulled the seats to get under the carpet of MY 96 pontiac GTP like 8 years ago"

so whoever sold him the car, included that card. not like he could go back in time and find the guy who sold it to him to return his baseball card //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

When I was installing I worked on a lot of nasty cars but nothing beats the Plymouth Sundance I worked on. The woman who drove the car was so fat that the **** seat frame was bent! People always think I'm making that up and I guess if I hadn't seen it I wouldn't have believed myself. Oh yea and the seat was nice and sweaty when she dropped it off! Easily the worst car I worked on.
