lol.
im sorry my friend. i read that when it came out.
do your homework a bit more. all the speakers involved in that review had nothing to do with sq. they were intro line drivers. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First off I am a Semi Pro in IASCA SQ. So the questions that I am asking are not coming from a complete bone head. LOL!! Also, I do have some background in db drag, so I have bass in my veins as well.
To start off I'll give a little thought process background. In SQ you want all of the frequencies coming from the front of the vehicle. Secondly you obviously want everything to sound good. Because of enclosure size most subwoofers end up in the back of vehicles these days. If you study sound at all you know that you arent supposed to localize pure tones below 100 Hz. In music we rarely get pure tones, so there is some localization to the rear if that is were the subs are placed. So how do you get the bass up front? In the past a few guys have put subs on top of the dash. My two homies in Team Audionutz have subs under their arm rest in their Dodge's.
A little over a month ago I ripped out the cubby hole below my AC controls (2005 Altima 3.5SE). Below the controls is room for a 0.6 cube or smaller SEALED enclosure. The sub would be firing down at the ****** hump for a load. I have four amplification options; 270 @ 4, 340 @ 4, 520 @ 2, and 1050 @ 4.
Ok, so thats what I have, here is what I need. I need the 8 to play down to 20 Hz and up to at least 50 Hz. If you know the IASCA disc there are 4 tracks that get low, ask for tight bass, and ask for excellent output. I have to have the best SQ at all times!!
So far in my quest I have tested two very nice 8's; the Critical Mass SS82 and the Elemental Designs 9KV.3. The eD was by far one of the most musical subs I have ever listened to, it just lacked the needed output below 35 hz. The C-Mass is a beast and is exactly what I need.
So, why am I on here? I am on here because I was told the 1008 is the junk. Is it? Can I seal one up with the amplification that I have, and will it do what I need it to do?
