PC Problem?

So I was messing around with msconfig > startup.ini to close some of the programs that I didn't want starting up after a reboot. I must have closed out of something important because now when I boot up all I see is my background. No access, no icons, no programs. The most I can do is ctrl alt del to see whats running.

The thing is, this happened overnight. Meaning after I originally messed with the startup.ini and rebooted it booted up fine.

Any ideas other then reformatting?

can you get back to msconfig? if so, undo what you did. otherwise, i have no clue.

you deleted explorer.exe from your start up configuration

Press your Start button on your keyboard, this should bring up the start menu, go to run>explorer.exe> then undo your mistake.

I just restored back to yesterday and its all up and running now.
