They just called me after reading my resume and are asking for a interview...

The guy on the phone put the manager for the "Mobile Audio" on the phone and he asked me several questions... and after answering a few he told me I know more then almost all of the employes there (expect this one dude whos certified) and said that I have a 100% chance on getting the job...

BUT the problem is... what price do I ask for to start off at?

10-15? which is to high or low...

YOU NEVER want to low ball... because of course they will go with the lowest amount that they can...

help...

Well if you don't wanna low ball ask for $25/hour. You're the most knowledgeable? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

And since when does Best Buy accept resumes? They have applications...

Im not certified yet... but I took the practice test... and passed (was like 3 months ago tho)

I just dont have cash to go out and pay for it...

maybe they will pay for me to get it done....

I've been in the industry for a long time.......... Don't ask for a specific dollar amount.

Ask instead, "what is the range of pay for this position?"

When they answer, let's say they say it pays 10-15 dollars per hour.

Your response would be, "Based on my experience, I feel I'm worth 13 or 14. What would I have to do to get the 15?"

That's the best way, I've heard that question handled. The folks who manage Best Buy's car shop aren't exerienced enough negotiators to handle that. You'll win.

good luck
