paypal fee help please...

Im selling my amps there is a fella in canada who wants both of them so heres the details

$1400 for the amps

$75.96 to ship them with signature confirmation and insurance via UPS

Now Ive been reading on the paypal fees page and cant figure it out, for getting money i see a 4.9% fee, than from the buyer being in canada theres an exchange rate fee of 2.5% to change over canadian money to american, and a over the border fee of 3.9% anyone know how much in fees total itll cost?? Id appreciate it.

make sure you get someone from ups on the phone and make sure thats all the fees for shipping....them ****ers like to sneak a charge or two in the mail for international

im just looking to find out the right total cost to request money from him. I dont want to rip him off but yet I dont want to get short handed as well.

If I am reading it correctly paypal wants to take a total of 12.3% of your total which in turn will be 181.54 so you will net 1294.42

i understand....i'm just saying. My brother sold his ps3 on ebay to canada and he got ***** with an extra 150$ shipping bill that he somehow agreed to pay ontop of the original 40$ fee....Even tho he shipped it at the ups store and they didn't say anything about it. Ups was threatening court and woudln't do a **** thing about it....i'll never ship through them again because of that bullshit.

just ask for 1600 that should cover the extra amount of fees and so on and so forth.
