Well I have been in Singapore for the past 6 weeks and ordered a new amp. I came home too this. Rockford Fosgate Power T8004 and I'm still waiting on my Rockford Fosgat T20001BD A couple questions I have though... I am going to be running this amp to my crystal comps with a 4 ohm load. What should I set the voltage at for the gain, the amp says it can do 200X2 @4 ohm but obviously that is underrated, should I just do that voltage anyways? Also, I'm going to mount this to the back of my subwoofer box but the terminal I made gets in the way, I did the terminal with washers and screws. What is the best way to plug up these 1/2" holes?

i would recommend not mounting the amp on the box... nice amp either way i love mine

why not on the box? I was gonna put this one on the back and the T20001BD on top. They are just so fuggin big that there aren't many other places to put them.

The sub box vibrates alot, when your amp is mounted on the box, it vibrates too and thats not great for the amp.

Plug the holes with silicone and there's tutorials on this site or try JL's site. I've never used a meter to set my gains I go by ear/listening, good luck.

The whole car is gonna vibrate, also I thought if the box was properly braced it would be ok?

I know how to set the gains I am just wondering what voltage to go with because I know the amp does more than 200 watts.

the not mounting the subs to a box is more or less a safety measure.. and yes- just go and set the gain off of the 200 watt figure. it woul not be to smart to set it off of figures you "think" it will do

whats the typical high pass crossover point people use? also whats the 12db and 24 db curve?
