hmm i just thought about something, all the folks that got scammed by hccafan

can they do a reversal on the amps he was suppose to ship out but never happen?

if so thats one account that will be in the negative for a loooooooooooong time

Well if this was just a transaction dispute, you can safeguard against it by making sure to use paypals shipping labels. This way you dont have to save that paperwork for 3months+ in the event of a dispute. If it was a CC reversal then nothing will help. Also paypal should have closed his account for doing a CC reversal because that is also against their ToS to do a buyer CC reversal.

Paypal will leave a negative balance in your account, and then eventually send it to collection.

Been in your position. $810 for a Alpine flip out. Learned my lesson - (this is for others - I know it is too late for you) ONLY BUY AND SELL WITH VERIFIED PAYPAL MEMBERS AND ONLY SHIP TO CONFIRMED ADDRESSES, PERIOD!!!! If both parties are verified, and the product is insured and sent to a confirmed paypal address with delivery confirmation, you are covered under the seller protection policy.

My $810 deal was reversed over 6 months after the deal went through. I had even been in contact with the guy after the transaction. 6 months later, he claims he did not buy the unit, and the credit card was stolen. I am thinking, how come it took 6 months to figure this out???!! I shipped to a non confirmed address, so paypal would not do anything.

I had the police involved in my home town, the town the item shipped to, nothing happened. Lost $810 and it was nothing more than a learning experience. . .

I made someone on here really mad not long ago because I would not sell to them with paypal. No confirmed shipping address. Guy had 2000+ posts and good feedback, but just don't do it. It is too easy to get scammed. . .

REMEMBER - ONLY BUY FROM A VERIFIED PAYPAL MEMBER, and ONLY SELL AND SHIP TO A VERIFIED MEMBER WITH A CONFIRMED SHIPPING ADDRESS.

If it was a purchase and on a CC contact your bank.

My dad was dumb and got scammed for $2250 for some motor parts. Paypal offered him a $250 refund. Talked to the bank and they did a chargeback and got the full $2250 back. Paypal and their lax attitude on scammers can **** on that big -2250 for awhile.

Yes as long as it has the visa or MC symbol you can dispute it.

Well yeah, but I was mainly curious about the confirmed addressed part. I'm at college right now and prefer to have stuff sent to my p.o. box rather than 200 miles away to my parents house. Anyone know if you can legitimately get a po. box confirmed with paypal or am I just going to have to get all my shit sent to my rents?

Its only a call away man. Worse than can happen is they say no, best that can happen is you get your money back.

It will say address status confirmed on the payment

If your paying it will show the member as "confirmed" on the 2nd screen doin a payment.

Also make sure you require a signature for proof of delivery.
