Passive sub hook-up

OK, here's what I have.

Pioneer DEH-P4700MP head unit.

Power Acoustic PS4-600 amp.

Jensen passive sub (2-10")

4 speakers (2-6x9, 2-4x6)

Right now I have the 2 front speakers connected to the 2 front channels,

and the subs and the rear speakers to the rear channel.

It sounds pretty good, but I know this is probably not the right way.

The power acoustic guide says for a 6 channel hook-up, You need

capacitors, and inductors ( 80Hz - 7.5mH - 470uF ) which is all greek to me.

I've never used these before, and really

don't know which ones to get, or how to install them. Is there an

easier way ?

Connect both the left 4x6 and left 6x9 in parallel to channel 1.

Connect both the right 4x6 and right 6x9 to channel 2.

Then either bridge the rear two channels to the subwoofers, or wire one subwoofer to each rear channel.

-or-

Run the left 4x6 off of one channel, right 4x6 off of channel 2, either bridge the rear two channels to the subwoofers, or wire one subwoofer to each rear channel, and then run the rear speakers off of the rear outputs on the headunit.

Doing either of these methods, you will not need the capacitors or inductors. The amplifier's built in crossovers can handle all of the crossover work.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm not sure what You mean by "in parallel".

Does that mean just connect both speakers to the same posts ?

Also...what do I set the x-overs to? (hpf - full - lpf) there's 2 (channel 1/2 - 3/4)?

Sorry, but I don't have much experience with amps...

Both positive speaker terminals to the positive terminal on the amp. Both negative speaker terminals to the negative terminal on the amp.

You'll want to highpass the speakers and lowpass the subwoofer.
