Passive Radiator - Does a color coated cone and carbon fiber dustcap change the mass?

I messaged PSI and asked if these options were available on their PRs and they said yes.

After that, I asked if they would account for the new mass and give updated parameters.

They said that the weight difference of the carbon fiber dustcap and the color coated cone weren't enough to change the parameters or the mass, and to use the given parameters on their website.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea if the added mass would make a difference or not. Im using winisd to find the tuning so the parameters and mass are what give me my tuned frequency. Its not that I don't trust PSI, its that I don't trust anyone im buying something from as they are usually trying to push the sale. lol

Won't be enough to move it by more than 1hz. Don't worry. You can always tell.where your tuned by running tones. Wherever the driver

moves least on tones is where your tuned Passives will move the most too

seriously? some of you people get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to deep in this kind of stuff. "is a few grams going to make a big difference do diddly dee dum bop woop?!?!" no you idiot. its a negligable amount. do you people even realize that all manufactured items have tolerances? each pr is going to have a different mass. Im guessing that psi's manufacturer holds a + or - 1 or 2 grams on their cones.

What do you mean come out far ahead? if your looking at the tc prs then I doubt psi is making better ones.
When I use winisd, the TC PRs dont even compare to the psi PRs.. at least for the TC5200 woofer.

because winisd is totally just like real world applications... NOT.
dude ur so cool bro, bro can u teach me how to post unneeded comments all over and not use any correct punctuations bro?.. dude ur so cool

Go back to the thunderdome, there are many idiots like you over there looking for attention.

I don't know exactly what you are comparing. you use moving mass etc to determine how much weight to add to get your required box tuning. Now as far as excursion capabilities etc I don't see how psi is making a better pr. those tc's can be run 1-1 which is rare.

I just enter the parameters of each of the PRs, then make them the same tuning by changing the mass.. the psi is always 3-4db higher up to about 45hz where it levels out.
