I'm running a Pioneer 7800 head unit. I just installed a couple 12's and a pair of CDT components and 2 - 2 channel amps

Should I use the the HP filter in my amp running the components off of or should I just send everything their way and let the crossover network take care of it?

Should I used the LP filter in my amp running the 12's or just use the sub output filter on the HU or both?

You'll want to HP cross the components because the crossover module included with them will protect the tweeter from playing frequencies too low for it but everything else in the signal path will get passed along to the midrange driver.

High-pass them at 60Hz or so and see how they sound. If that's too low for them in your particular install then incrementally raise the HP setting until you find something they're comfortable with.

Interesting. I thought the cross wouldn't run the mid full range. Thanks.
