I am running 2 RE 10's with this amp. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/1330811/vpcsid/0/SFV/30046 would it be better to run them in series or parralel? they are DVC 4 ohm. I hooked them in series and bridged the amp but they dont sound any louder or bassier then my 6x9's. I havent tuned it at all ( gains ) cause i have no idea what im doing and the amps website doesnt give an info on that sort of thing really. Any idea of a site that shows how to do it?

Read the gain setting tut at JL (linked in the sticky in amps). Oh wait sorry I though that amp was a single channel mono, its not so I assume you connected the woofers to the amps r+ & l- or whatever it is for your amp and if you wired your speaker in series you a showing the amp a 16 ohm load which I think puts your power at like 50watts a woofer. Go over bcae1.com and do some reading to understand why and then wire a series parallel to acheive 4 ohms and ~200w a speaker.

That amp is way too powerful for those subs. You'll probably have to wire one sub to each channel, with each individual sub's coils in parallel for a 2ohm load on each channel. However, you'll have to set the gain VERY conservatively.

Or, look for a new amp.

Ok, so I am going to paste a few pics on how i should wire these things up and someone plz tell me which one to do plz. Yeah I just checked the link and the numbers on top or the site are messed up. If u scroll down a bit it gives you the right numbers on rms and peak.

Yeah I alrdy have them set up like pic one but I havent set my gains yet so that might be it. I'm gonna have to figure out how to do that. Thanks for the help guys.

Ok another quick question again. Since I have alrdy wired them up like the first pic, and they are DVC 4 ohm subs, What is the ending ohms going to be? For my calculations I think that they are still at 4 ohms, so does that mean that im running the said 400+ rms to the subs, so about 200 rms per then? Sorry for the confusion and newbiness but I have to start somewhere.
