Parallel or Isolated?

Got my HC1800. Wondering if I should run it parallel with main battery or put an isolator in between?

Also, any ideas for fuse ratings? I was thinking 250A from battery to battery would be decent.

Been searching and can't really figure out which way to go. Heard a lot of people say to just run it parallel, others say throw in an isolator. The second battery would be just for my amp. Ideas welcome!

If you decide to go with an isolator i got a bnib stinger 500A isolator.. just pm me.. its just layin around.. depends on how hard your going to be running it.. If you are going to be bumping good you dont have a whole lot of amperage and an isolator might be a good idea to make sure your car stays charged and it will prolong the life of both batts.. but if your not going to be putting a strain on your electrical iw ould not worry about it what why you have your amp grounded to car and batt?? just need it grounded to one.. batt would be better.. and if i were you iw ould fuse my amps unless your going to be doing some hard core competing and are worried about the slight bit of current its going hold you back.. always a good idea to protect your investments.. hope any of this helped??

Yea, I will definitely be running fuses of course. So it IS a better idea to run ground directly to secondary batt instead? I assume I still need to ground the rear battery to the chassis. And yes I'd be interested in the isolator, but would just want to make sure why or why not to use an isolator.

Fuse for the max. number of amps the wire can handle. Also, I wouldn't use an isolator.
Reason(s)?
