Possibly PV was using a different paint other then lacquer like I was using because I only spent 20 minutes wetsanding and it was on pretty much after all the paint was sprayed on....You need to dry sand multiple times to get a glossy enough finish to put your top coat on. It really does take a long time.
I didn't dry sand the black lacquer at all when I did my box.
The only dry sanding that I did during the entire process was when I used 400grit on the last coat of primer.
I just used 5 cans of lacquer, about 1 can per coat with no sanding in between coats.
The last step after all the black lacquer was sprayed was wetsanding.
This was before wetsanding, notice the huge amount of orange peel...
And this was the outcome after wetsanding for 20 minutes...
Maybee I just got lucky the way I spayed the paint on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
