painting subs

oops.... i dripped some paint onto my sub by accident. would it be OK to paint the surface of a sub?

I've seen it done before.... But wouldn't suggest it unless you pretty much hate your sub or it sounds just that shitty. I've stiffend up some busted a$$ RF Punch 12's with some craft adhesive (dries clear, hard) when the factory coating came off (looks good too). What kind of paint did you spill on em'?
