I am wanting a new setup for my room and yes i know PA speakers arent that marvelous but whatever, my choice.

im wanting these floor standing.

they are the peavey 215

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=248-839&scqty=2

im matching it with this amp.

peavey PV1500

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=248-808&scqty=1

now should i run a graphic EQ with this setup? ill probably have a external CD player and my computer hooked up as inputs. now im wondering what i can use as a processing unit to control the volume and inputs.

All I can say is, why? Plan on deafening yourself soon? If not, you can build something with much better fidelity for that price... Heck you can buy something better for that price.
Have you seen this yet? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=190300138073#ht_2706wt_1165

Quality Vifa drivers. You then have a ton of money left over for a quality amplifier with crossovers and a nice subwoofer from parts express...
This.

P.A. Speakers are kind of designed to just be loud with out any real design for sound quality. If you just want to go deaf in your room, by all means. But if you want to actually HEAR your music, look into a nice 5.1 system.

If not a pre-made system, then get some bookshelf speakers. Do some research on good ones and what not. I personally have a Logitech Z-5300e system (designed for computer), but if I got a processor, I could use it for my TV and what not.

You can usually grab some nice DJ speakers and amps off craigslist for cheap. I'd look into that.

Btw: those speakers you picked out are pretty decent, especially if you throw parties. You could always consider the consumer version and go cerwin vega however.

http://www.cerwinvega.com/CLS215.php These arent bad, however they probably don't compare to their classic AT-15
