OZ audio matrix elite cheaper alternative to IDmax?

basically what the title states.I know the Idmax is a higher model sub( I own one) but I have read the elite is designed by ID,hell it resembles an id max. How do the OZ's sound?

I love my 12.4, I've heard an IDMax and personally I liked the Oz more, it had a fatter low end. It could just be the install though.

doesnt hit as low as the Max...but the SQ is definitely there.

i put my idmax in 2 cube tuned to 28 hz, and my rl-p blew it away in same box on lower notes....too small box???

LOL we had opposite impressions, the one I heard was in an OK install, so that could have been it.

But yea, the Oz's need big boxes to get low because of the high Qts. IDMax > Oz for small boxes.

I emailed OZ...they told me 1.25cft for the 12" give the best overall performance.
