Orion XTR subs any good?

Hey guys quick questions

what are your opinions on Orion XTR subs?

I have a chance to buy 2 XTR 12's in a bandpass box, only 2 months old, for $75

Good buy or no?

For $75, sure. They're okay subs. We put 4 15's in a bandpass wall and got **** loud off only 700w. They're excellent when you don't have lots of power.

Nothing special or spectacular, though.

It'll def be louder... doubt it will be anywhere near as clean, though.

OK well i didnt buy them.

The guy was a total tweeker and high as hell off crystal meth.

The subs looked good, the box was really nice, but he tried to hook them up and he was like "oh one of the wires comes off" and starts tripping, taking the box apart and shows me that all the connections were crimped on, not soldered, but the overall feeling was not good so I passed. There was a fat guy in the same bedroom in his whitey tidies and acted like nothing was going on, crack pipes all chillin around, oh and there was 2 seperate trasvestite prostitues walking down his street.

I dont think they were 2 months old, tweeker lie. I mean this guy was trippin big time. Scared me enough to not want the subs.

Should I have bought them?

Oh and those subs are not 2 months old. They were released several years ago...

they're sweet subs and def worth $75, but your life is too important to be in that kinda situation. they might've tried to knife you once you showed them the money

Personally, I've found meeting at a neutral location to be beneficial with craigslist purchases, preferably large parking lots of busy commercial areas (for example supermarkets, target/wal-marts). This way the person doesnt' know where you live, cant kidnap you (at their house), and if something gets crazy, people aren't far away to help (or at least witness)
