Well I would definitely do that they are very underrated really put out around 1400-1500....Yea I'll keep it but like I say tho. I'm stubborn I still might get one and try just to prove to myself the difference. Thought about getting the 1200d just to get a little more power to the sub tho.

I just bought an audiocontrol 2xs off of ebay last night so it can be bridged.
I am asking $225 shipped including the 2xs
I wish you luck if you are trying to score one off of eBay. I can't tell you how many NON-WORKING, yet advertised as working, old school amplifiers I have purchased off of eBay over the years:verymad:Thanks, looking at a couple of different ones right now if these others fall through I will let you know.

Some were minor fixes, whereas this was the worst hack job EVER on a Punch 150:

Sadly, had the idiot had the proper size fuses in the fuse holder instead of soldering wire across them, the rest of the damage could have been prevented:furious:
Why would you want to use an amp for a sub that is going to a lot less efficient? No love for us old schoolers:crying:

Plus, not all of us run our system @ 1 ohm. I am running a Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Punch 150 on my dd1010 in my Civic. I tuned it go give me 600 watts RMS @ 75% volume but the amp is capable of producing 980 watts RMS according to its birthsheet. To get that kind of power in Class D at 4 ohms would have been much more expensive than the $150 I paid for the Punch!Because believe it or not there are people that actually believe running over 1k watts to a sub is ridiculous.
If my car's dinky electrical system can handle running my three amps, then they aren't really "a lot less efficient" as you put it.
FYI, my car's elec is a 90A alt and a stock sized battery, no dimming lights.
