Orion amps?

Orion amps are good.. yet they need alot of power.. 1 of my orion amps takes dual 4 guage power and dual 4 guage ground.. and CAN... draw up to 300 amps...

i fried my 160 amp alternator in less than 6 months.....

DANG!

I've got a Cobalt 2100 bridged to my subs, and I'm not impressed (12" Orion XRT's). Is it because I've only got 8g ground and power (power is short lead to 4g distribution block). Will running 4g to the amp with 4g ground improve it's performance any? I realize it could be the subs. I hooked up a pair of 10" kenwoods that a friend was looking to buy and they put my 12's to shame.

DUH YA, 8 gauge is for quakers, u need 4 gauge pal, will be s hitload louder.

Anyways ya man Orion amps are solid as hell. I got the new ones and mine olny take 1 50 amp fuse.

I have an orion 1200D waiting for my XXX, should be in tomorrow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ! The amp looks very solid I will post how it all goes once installed. To bad the install will be a little while considering i need to make arrangements w/ gnomeaudio for a box and i also need to sell my car ASAP to get my blazer!

Orion makes quality amps no doubt about it...amps are underrated slightly then specs...sweet design with new lineup...they use a high polished look that is very appealing to the eye but have to be very careful not to scratch it because it is an extremely soft metal...also they put out full power at 13.8v which is very reasonable...i have an orion 2500d pushing a RE xxx 15" in a 2 cube sealed box and i forgot to get two distro blocks for this amp since it is a two channel...and so i jimmy rigged it so that it was running at about half power...ran it for about 6 hours straight slowly turning it up to break the sub in and it never got warm even though it was 90 outside...definitely go with their new amp lineup if you are intersted in Orion...sweet amps at reasonable prices.

Well to be dead honest wit ya...the orion 1200 and 2500d are the same amps...just that the 2500 has two 1200 boards...it is a two channel amp though because it has two sets of power supplies coming from each board...it has the same block though which makes it a mono block amplifier...it uses two sets of 8 gauge terminals for each supply

Id be very, very suprised if there was any audible difference at all.

Orion does make a high quality amp that does last and takes a beating. The good thing about the new orion series is that it doesnt take the normal 14.4v's to reach its rated rms. I believe their ratings are a 13.8v's.

Yes, the 2500D has 2 terms.

The orion 2500d use dual 4AWG power and ground and it's a monoblock, the two channel that you talking about is a parallel bridge inside the amp, they did this so we can wire two Sub in parallel inside the amp the easy way, but this is a monoblock, not a 2 channel amp.
