Orion 2500 mod question

Could the 2500d work well at .5ohms daily? If so how much will the power increase and where can I can that amp modded, and is there any downside to modding an amp? Thanks for any help.

the amp should run fine at .5 ohm daily w/out being modded

Oh kewl so I should just wiring to pull at .5 ohms, Ok but how much will the power be increased.

wont prove wha? the amp will run fine at .5ohm unmodded. do it all the time. if u so happen 2 mod it, if ya voltage drops 2 low, u will see smoke. only mod it if u are goin 2 run over 14v to it, which i like then u are talkin some power

i ran mine at .5 ohm unmodded for a while...now i run it at .5 ohm at 16v modded...only modded to run at a higher voltage, not lower impedence. they'll run at .5 ohm out of the box...

i modded mine myself, you just have to pop off a resistor on the board...and the resistor is small as all hell...

i never clamped mine when i ran it at 16v....but when i ran it on 12v and clamped it i got about 1700-1800 watts out of it, cuz my box rise sucked.

did a 150.8 with 12v....ran 16v and it now does a 152.3...so it gets a good amount of power at 16v.

u could, u could also mod that 2 run higher voltage also. u would have 2 be really careful 2 run the 1200d at .5ohm, i wouldnt recommend it.
