i just installed orion 225 hcca with a sherwood crossover and a jl audio w6 in a ported box in my car.i have the gain turned up all the way on the amp and i have moved the gain to about 3/4 of the way on the crossover.it hits good but not very hard.what can i do to make it sound harder and louder.i used to have it hooked up to a kicker l7 and it was way louder.what can i do to make it bump harder?thanks in advance.

That sub will not play to it's potential since it will not be able to present a low enough load to get good power from that amp. That amp will produce 400 watts if you could get a 1/2 ohm bridged load. An ol skool W6 has dual 6 ohm coils, which will parallel down to 3 ohms and about 166 watts from that amp. If your sub has dual 4 ohm coils, that would parallel down to 2 ohms for 200 watts from that amp. Dual 1 ohm coils in parallel would be ideal for that amp.
