Order of Importance?

You see, I haven't ever heard RE, or DLS,in fact, I hadn't ever heard of these brands until I joined this forum. My last set up, I hadn't ever heard of Adire either, but I sure fell in love with my shivas. The problem around my town, is finding anything that isn't mainstream. Everyone around here runs Orion, JL, RF, Clarion, Pioneer. I don't have the money, or the resources to go out and find someone in my area that has heard of RE, or Incriminator, or Soundsplinter. When I told a friend(who is supposedly the car audio guru in my town) about Incriminator, he said, "Probably some mexican selling stuff out of their basement."So, if I can't go find someone that has heard either of these brands, how should I go about looking for new products?

i have the same problem in my small corner of the earth. the most knowledgable staffed stereo shop in my town replies with a puzzled look: "adire?". i bought some re subs and components in the group buy even though i've never heard them. i firmly believe i will be the first in my town to run re products. i will show them off every chance i get to inform the locals that there is a lot in this world that has yet to reach farmington, nm.

Thats what I think im gonna do with Soundsplinter..... My buddy bought a set of LI 10's, that have yet to be hooked up yet in his camaro, but I have a feeling that a lot of my friends are going to be asking me for Incriminators Number after we get them installed.... Seriously, I don't think that there are many people in West/Central Illinois that would be willing to drive a couple hours just so I can hear a set of subs or components..... I'm sick of reading about mainstream stuff around here.... This kid that is a junior in my high school claimed that his RF 10s, and Roadmaster 8s would "blow out" my stereo....

Thats what I think im gonna do with Soundsplinter..... Amen to that. At one of the dealers around here, the kid that works there is running a 8 MA HK 12s with a MAHK 4400 (4 kilowatts rms) attached to each of them. All in all, he said about 32000 watts RMS. And he's pulling 15x in it. The dealer said he has no interest in IA at all because it's not a "Proven" brand he doesn't want them being returned all the time for being blown. That and there's no possible way Moe Lester could have hit 153 with only 2 subs and less than 2500 watts.

so.. its not main stream, they dont have to know who they are, and they probably dont care.
