Order of Importance?

Ok, I'm faced with this dilemma again, which do you guys think is more important to buy first?

1.HU

2.Comps/Comp Amp

3.Subs/Sub Amp/Box

4.Deadener

5.Wiring/Electrical

I already have my HU, eD V1, and Sub amp, what should I buy next,

Subs(SoundSplinter RL-p's), or Comp amp(Viper 400.2) [i like to have matching amps, and DEI has stopped making viper amps]

I was wanting someone elses input on this?

get the comps \ comp amp - you never know if all the vipers will be stolen up. so grab them asap. well. at least get the comp amp- and then decide weather you want bass or better music first //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Comp/amp first... It is about the music, right ? An emphasized bottom end should be second to decent mids/highs.

Think of it this way.....out of the typical 20-20khz spectrum, the subs typically play no more than 80hz and down. So, would you rather upgrade the speakers that play a bandwidth of approximately 60hz, or the speakers that cover the other ~19,900 frequencies??

Buy speakers that you like the sound of, fit your vehicle and your budget. To buy speakers based on heresay from a forum by people that generally don't have the same vehicle, taste in music, installation or even a relevant basis for comparison is just plain wrong. While I may have 18 years of installation and sales behind me and the appopriate facts and basis to form an educated and informed decision about my recommendations, I would still tell you to listen to the speakers as you hear different than I do. To take the word of a first or second time user, typically 18 years old on a forum, no offence to these people but there are very few of them who can make an educated and informed decision that encompasses more than what they have read on line or have used themselves. For the day will come that these young experts to be will have experience in their corner should they continue on the 12volt path. If you were a business owner, would you hire the young guy who doesn't know scratch or would you hire the guy with the experience? Forums are sometimes a great tool for knowledge, other times they are a recipe for disaster.

i would go

1. deadoner

2. electrical

3. Hu

4. comps

5.subs

seems a bit easier to install deadoner first that way you dont install then un install everything when your ready to deadon

You see, I haven't ever heard RE, or DLS,in fact, I hadn't ever heard of these brands until I joined this forum. My last set up, I hadn't ever heard of Adire either, but I sure fell in love with my shivas. The problem around my town, is finding anything that isn't mainstream. Everyone around here runs Orion, JL, RF, Clarion, Pioneer. I don't have the money, or the resources to go out and find someone in my area that has heard of RE, or Incriminator, or Soundsplinter. When I told a friend(who is supposedly the car audio guru in my town) about Incriminator, he said, "Probably some mexican selling stuff out of their basement."

So, if I can't go find someone that has heard either of these brands, how should I go about looking for new products?
