I have a set of CDT 3-ways running passively with the EX-30 crossovers. 6.5's are in the doors (deadened and sealed), and 3" mids and tweets are in the dash facing up at the windshield (stock location). I recently bought the audio tools app for my phone, and started messing around with the RTA. It showed I had a bit of a hole around 200Hz. I ran some sweeps and sure enough, there is a noticeable drop in output. It seems this is where the midbass in the doors and mids in the dash crossover.

Ideally I'd like to raise the crossover point to somewhere around 400Hz, as I think that would make the 3" mids more comfortable. I had a couple thoughts on this.

1. Modify the passive crossover, though I am not sure this is possible.

2. Find a 4 channel amp with separate HPF / LPF that can be adjusted to 400Hz. Drive the tweets and 3" mids through the passive crossover from the front channels of the amp, high passed at 400Hz. Then I could run the 6.5's off the rear channels of the amp low passed at 400Hz.

Any other suggestions or advice? The cheaper the better!
