optimal box volume + port tuning for a JL15w3v2

Topic says it all.

i made a box, roughly 3 cubic feet, 2 round ports made off thick thick cardboard. the end of both tubes is 3 inches from the back wall of the box. The box is rather unprofessional as you can tell by the description. I want to build a new box with a slotted port, looking for ideas.

JL recommends 3.5 tuned to 28-30 hz.
