Optical Audio Switcher

Hey, does anyone know where I can get an optical audio switcher? Now that i'll be getting an xbox360 I would like that and my dvd player hooked up through the optical connection to the surround reciever. Do they sell em at best buy, or radioshack or anything, or do I have to get em online somewhere, or do they not make em at all?

Yeah they make such a thing.

I've never heard of an optical switcher but that does NOT mean they don't exist.

I've seen them at radioshack. They're not very cheap though. It was about $40 or $50 for a 4 port switcher.

Ive been wondering about optical switchers for a while also. That one off of ebay you have to put the cable in an adapter so wouldnt you lose sound quality there?

It depends on if the adapter cuts off the light flow or not. I don't understand why they would design one that way to be honest. That looks like it was designed to fail if you ask me. I actually like this one better. It supports hi def and optical and seeing how the xbox supporst hi def too you would be all set.

Its more $$$$ though.

But then again I would try the cheap one first since even if it was a POS you would be out less than $10.
