So this is the set up I am looking at.

Things I have and can't change:

Alpine MRP-M1000 600W RMS @ 4ohms

x2 Alpine SWS243D Wired for 4 ohms at the Amp

Things on my to get list:

Pioneer DEH-6450BT (aus version of 6400)

Morel Maximo 6 Comps

Boston Acoustics GT-2125

Stinger fuses and holders

Stinger/Streetwires wiring

So what are peoples opinions on this?

Looks like a nice setup. I would recommend listening to the Morels before buying if you can. The sound you like can be very subjective. And what works best for your setup can vary.

Yer I plan on that when the time comes to order, got a supplier 15 minutes and 45 minutes away, so will ring up to see if one of them has them out on display. But just basing on online reviews and write up's they sound good, and sound like they will handle the extra few watts the amp will throw at them.

I would need to make some 2" spacers. And cut a hole in the panels so they can poke through.

mmm, dont really wanna take on a project like that yet. Think ill go for the Morels, as they seem more a SQ speaker and XXX seems like a SPL, and since it will be a daily, SQ is more important.
