KICKER 10CVT8-2 OHM 400 WATT SHALLOW MOUNT CAR SUBWOOFER

So i would like to try and get a pair of these in my doors. I want them to be for my lower end midbass range from 80-300hz. i will have 2 sets of 6.5 components in each door to complete the ranges from 300hz and up. just wanting others opinions before i start with this mod to my doors. Also should i try to have the 8" sealed up or would they be ok with free air

currently have a cadence 8" cadence 6.5 3ways with cadence tweeters in each door. Just plan on upgrading. The 8" i use for the mids are recommended below 125hz they are more for the mid to high range.

I can tell u from experience....those shallow kickers for midbass....big fat NO! I like my midbass smooth and punchy and extending to at least 63hz full tilt. I could get them fairly smooth....not much for punch though and forget low end extension. If u want to stay at 100hz c-over point and get good support in the lower vocal range, they aren't bad. Get pretty loud too. But that's they only way I'd see them being worth using.

Silver flute , peerless , and tangband get my vote. Just check on depth first.

silver flute would be best bet just by looking... they any good? but i was also hoping to get something that would be capable of handling 150wrms this way i wont have to change amps. is there anything that would handle that kinda power
THeyll be fine. Midbass drivers love power especially the flutes. Music is too dynamic to concern yourself too much with power ratings on midbass anyway.

Ive ran flutes for 2+ years.. Must be a reason for this... I have mine crossed at 80hz 12db slope. Can they play lower yes but I dnt need them to play any lower and if I did i would have to increase the slope. This is with rap if I am playing rock I can drop them down to 63hz without issue. Most I have ever ran to a single SF 6.5 was 100-120watts from a 9.2. Took it like a champ.

Are you doors deadned good? That would be the first step to good midbass. All you need is a good set of comps that will go down to the 60hz range and good install, that will make all the midbass you will ever need
