Opinions on wiring subs

I have 2 dual 2ohm subs. Here is how I am thinking of wiring them. 1 sub series to 4 ohm then 1 sub parallel to 1 ohm then parallell the 4 and 1 ohm for a .8ohm load. Will this work or is there going to be problems with this.

no that wont work... 1+4 doesn't = .8... and you will most like break something... with 2 subs u have these options, .5 ohms, 2 ohms, or 8 ohms...

Meh.

Your options with 2 DVC two ohm woofers are: .5, 2, and 8 ohm final loads

Edit: Beat me to it. The reason you were coming up with .8 was because that calculator didn't take into account dual voice coils.

...not to mention the fact that the sub wired in parralel will receive 4 times the power of the on wired in series. This is a no-no.

Great now I will need to get rid of this 2 DD9512s and get something different for a 1ohm final load.

Yeah a kicker 2500 wont power them like I want. I had 2 IA 20.1 strapped at 2ohms but I need more power.
