Opinions on this sub?

I was offer this sub at a local shop for 106.00 plus tax and was wondering weather anyone has had any kind of experience with it.

Also the shop owner says I geta 5 year warranty with it.

I know the PR's are just entry level subs but I have heard good things about them.

I intend to put this in a 2 cubic foot enclosure running it off my Viper d300.1 so about 150 per coil @ 2 Ohms

PRs are great subs. Mrray can give you a good review of them. He has more experience with them then I do. But 1 12" in a 1 cube box surprised me with its output and overall tonal quality.

They are fairly decent subwoofers, they tend to get loud and sound good IMO. Is that box ported or sealed? I am assuming sealed with the size...

yes box would be sealed as I don't think 300 watts is enough to port it, But if I did port it it would need to be 3-4.5 cubic feet atleast this is what memphis recomends.

Is this price fair for this woofer?

Where can I find more prices for Memphis equipment?

Wattage should not base your decision of sealed or ported.. That makes no sense. If anything, you have it backwards anyway. A ported box raises the efficiency of the driver, so less wattage is needed to reach full excursion, its the opposite for a sealed enclosure. If you have the room, I would go for ported. That sub will shine for you....

If its going in your trunk, you could think about making the box inside of your trunk.

What are the dimensions you could fit in your trunk, taking the trunk opening into account.

I would prefer not to make it in my trunk as I am not real sure how long I intend to keep this car.

Maybe I could figure the dimensions for a ported box and see if they jive with my trunk.

Well for the dimensions, you would need to get dimensions of your trunk first. You cant just pick numbers out of thing air and call it a day, they would be selected to fit in the trunk.

I know the dimensions of my trunk I was just in BBP6 trying to figure if I could get a 4 cube box in there, but I have to finish Later gotta run now.
