I am getting ready to order a system for my car and wanted to get some thoughts on what you guys think.It is a show/street car but the focus is not the stereo.

I guess it ended up all kicker.I was considering running JL amps,1000/1 and a 450/4.Should I get the subs in 2 or 4 ohms?I will also be adding some 6x9s to fill some space.

Are you dead set on all Kicker stuff? Buying from that website?

You want a dual 2 ohm subwoofer because that amp makes it's most power (1250w) at 1 ohm.

Looks good, but we could better help you if you gave us a budget. Are you going for spl I take it? There are better products out there for cheaper, but is most likely going to be an online product. I suggest a mag 12" would run good off the Kicker amp. Will be just as loud and sound cleaner. Check the classifieds here. Always some good prices on stuff.

But if your dead set on that, isnt bad choice overall.

for 800 dollars those components better be worth it... seems like the case the're shipped in adds alot to that price too

No I am not deadset on anything,that is why i thought I would ask.I am not really into stereo's, I just want a nice one for my show/street 69 camaro.So any suggestions on places to buy or equipment to use would be more than helpful.

on ebay those SS comps are like 450, check there...ill vouch for the SS comps, very professional, clean sounding, accurate and very efficient. the set i heard was off of a 650.4 (i think) Very nice speakers, wont dissappoint you

I just found out I can't run the kicker amp's,there isnt enough room.I was thinking of changing to a JL 1000/1 and 450/4.
