If going Alpine, I would try to get something that starts with CDA in the product number. Those units have Alpine's AI-net bus system, so you can add sound processing or other peripherals later if you want.

Shouldn't cost too much more to move up to a CDA.

i got this deck. the ipod interface is tits. it is full-speed and fairly easy to use. the deck really doesn't offer much in processing. if you don't need processing or will add an external processor, this is a solid deck. the ipod interface alone makes it wirth buying
