Opinions on the Alpine CDA 9853

I just got the Alpine CDA 9853 cd deck and need some opinons on it is it any good i paid $180 brand new and i havent put it in yet

I hate glide touch with all my heart. Alpine has sold out, if you ask me.

I had to send my 7998 out for warranty work, and the shop loaned me a 9855... Using it made me die a little, inside. My love for alpine is gone... if I was buying a new deck today, it would likely be a clarion. The 9855 is top of the line now, I think, before going to DVD... and it couldn't hold a candle to my old 7998. What happened to alpine making 'all-business' decks, with no stupid gimicks. *sigh*

Sound quality was sub-par as well. But hey, you didn't pay much for it... I am sure it is worth 180 bucks.
