Opinions on Profile

I have read a LOT of positive feedback on Profile amps over the years.

Consensus opinion seems to be they do close to rated power and do it pretty reliably.

Definitely among the best budget amps, probably among the top cost/performance options too.

I run an AP1000 for my rear fill speakers. Been going strong for almost 2 years now. Also run an AP1040 in the GF's car powering Crystal comps up front and Polk coax's in the rear. Sounds very good for a budget set up.

Lot of guys on carstereo.org used to praise the Profiles for price/performance. I've installed several for local builds and never had a problem.

I had an ap2000 stated to put out 1000 watts at 1ohm I believe..

Well im not sure if it ever did and it sure as hell did look like a cool amp back then but was rather large for its power output. My friend Used it on 2 ifinity kappa perfect 10.1s after i sold it to him

there rms was 350 each and he had it full tilt on both. They moved but it was def considered a lower budget system.

I got a kx1500.1 for that price, brand new off Ebay. Lanzar Subs are pretty decent had two of the 1600 watt max series for over a year in a sealed boz and they wanged for the price I paid for them. Invest in something realiable the first time around. I went from Pyramid to Pyle to California to Kenwood to Kicker. Trust me avoid the pain in the ***, and just pay good up front. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

**** you started at the very bottom and just worked your way up didnt you

I've had an AP760 and a Ap400. Both did what they were suposed too., kept cool, and ran quiet. I still run the AP400 (bridged to a 8" shallow sub.) Great values IMHO.

I would say for a budget system its hard to beat, unless you shop around the classifieds and save up some more pennies. I ran an AP2000 to a pair of Infinity reference 12's. Certainly worked good, I can't really comment on the power but it was a solid amp that never gave me any trouble, just friggin huge.
