Opinions on Pioneer AVIC-Z2 and other In-Dash Navi's?

I am looking for an in-dash navi/HU w/ DVD capabilities for my 07 Camry. It currently has the JBl sound system, so I'm just going to upgrade the HU for now.

I'm considering between the Pioneer AVIC-Z2, and either of the Eclipse AVN7000 or AVN5495 ones.

They all range around $2000, so that's what I'm planning to spend. Any opinions on which is the best to get? I know the AVN7000 is a single din, so I'd need a empty DIN slot as well.

So for people who have used either, which are the best ones?

For much less than $2k, you can get the Alpine W205 and the new Blackbird, and have the capability of a portable GPS as well. You can even throw in an H701 and stay under that budget, which will give you the ultimate in tuning capabilities if and when you decide to upgrade your system. Just a thought.

alpine, even go single din, use the second DIN opening for the center channel I have the D105 with the center channel, but you have to get the theater amp to go 5.1 - but can do the center channel, IVA-d105, and theater amp for about a grand, then get nav for 1100 on Ebay, then you just need a sub and sub amp and you are done.

Seems like most people prefer Alpine navi to Pioneer navis.

I definitely want the best I can get for my money, but let's say money isn't a factor, which route would be better, the Alpine as mentioned above or Pioneer way w/ the Z2.

I would want something that would allow me to add a nice component set in the future and not have the HU hold me back in any way.

i wold go with the kenwood dnx7100 better than the pioneer imo. you can hook up a 500gb hard drive through the usb and the search all files and stuff right through the unit. it has the garmin nav that is in the 660 and 680 handheld peices. overall i think that it is a better unit and much cheaper too. look into that one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

x2 i have a 6019 with GPS in my HHR and the DNX7100 in my Lexus. the DNX is hands down better than the AVICZ1 and D2 i previously tried out.
