Opinions on my next system PLEASE

Okay so finally I'm starting my ordering for my next system. Going into a 5.0 V8 4D 1998 Mountaineer.

For headunit I'm thinking Alpine CDA-9887

I want a clarion EQ as well.

Speakers I will have custom 6.5" kickpanels and mounting in the vents for tweets.

I'm thinking CDT HD-62 Gold

I want to power the speakers with a Autotek MM75.4 which does 250rms x 2 @ 4 ohm bridged

For subs I want to do a ported box tuned low 30's, around 16cuft, for 2 RE SX 18"s

And power those with an Autotek MM4000.1@1ohm

250A Alt, big 3, and HC2400 in the trunk for electrical

Should I do 2 runs of 1/0? Aprox. how many ft should I get?

Thanks for any opinions.

Changed my order a bit, and just ordered

Kicker 1/0 Ampkit

25ft of 12g Speakerwire

3 17ft RCAs

Alpine CDA-9887

CDT M6 6.5" Speakers

CDT DRT Titanium 1" Tweets

Kicker ZX850.4

Next is ordering the lowz

why did you get 25 ft of 12g

and youre gonna love the 9887

id get a 4 channel amp and run your comps active off the 9887

So I have everything needed to run the mids / tweets on active?

Should I power the tweets with the headunit, and the mids with 425w each from the amp until I add more speakers? Or should I run the tweets on 175w and the speakers on 175w

425w to each mid? no way in hell....you'll blow them in a second and don't expect warranty service on that without some mulah coming out of your pocket. M6's are rated for 150rms. You're okay running 200 to them....I wouldn't push too much beyond that. .....and your tweeters.....175w to them? man....just return that amp. not tryin to be offensive, but you screwd the amp choice up pretty good.

try and find something that'll give you 150-200 for the mids and 50 for the tweeters. that amp is just way too much.

there's a point where headroom stops and insanity begins....with that amp, he's reached that point. CDT will not warranty a claim with 425 watts going to an M6, or 175 watts going to a DRT-26. It's as simple as that.

I bought the amp because 175w per M6 is ideal for me.

Then I was either going to leave the other channels unused for the moment until I bought a set of 8"s for the doors (running the tweets off the HU). So that would be 175w per M6, 175w per 8", and then the tweeters could be ran off the headunit. I'm not returning the amp, and my suggestion of just bridging the channels and running 2 M6s would mean I would be especially careful with the volume and the gains.... Im not going to crank it thinking its good!
