opinions on my box design please!

will be wired at either 2 or 1 ohm, gotta see what the electrical system can produce.

Im in the box design stage right now, got my lumber today and will maybe start the build tomorrow.Ive come up with this so far...

My box dimensions are...

5.8 ^3 (before port)

W=36"

H=17.25"

D=20"

With a slot port height of 15.75" /W=4.5"

Port L1= 14.75

Port L2=11.25

70.8 square inches port area/ tuned at 32

Let me know what you think/ Suggestions appreciated!!!

for tuning to 32Hz with the specs you gave you should be around 39-40 inches of port lenght. But with that lenght and again the specs you gave you will have ~4 cu/ft volume the driver sees... don't know what you we aiming for but thats what you got.

heres the # I calulated.

Width= 36.00 inches

Height= 17.25 inches

Depth= 20.00 inches

Port Length= 39.68 inches

Driver Volume= 4.17 cu/ft

Port Area= 70.88 sq/in

Going for 32hz tuning. SI Recommends 3.5 ^3, but Im thinking about 4^3 would be ok, if not better.

So your saying I dont have enough port length for that tuning? Im seeing 33.5in of port length, using a calculator. Should I be closer to 40inches port length?

What did you come up with for tuning freq givin my first post?

I came up with the ~40 with a design proggy I wrote in excel, it has worked for me on many boxes validated with a freq generater and an o-scope
