Opinions on MTX 9500 10''

It means I had a 10w7 it was a great sub all around. It just seemed to loosen up quick. I had it on a 600wrms alpine with a yellow top and 5 farad cap. never clipped amp never got hot sub never got hot just got sloppy before too long. in a built to spec box. I think the old w4 and w6 series were the best quality for price sub they made.

I dont really understand what your talking about. "Loosen up and get sloppy?" If there was anything wrong with the sub or its performance, its more than likely it was the result of user error.

Well ten years ago you could spend $175 on a 12w6 that was an all around great sub in its time. Sure it wouldn't get that loud but it sounded nice and was reasonably loud for the money and power it took. I had 2 12w6's on a ppi 2300 am in a hatchback integra and it sounded awesome.
