Hey guys, I have a MTX 9500 10'' That I bought recently. used a 400wrms amp on it just to try it out. I'm considering selling it and buying a Sundown sa-10 or possibly a Audioque to replace it. I had a jl 10w7 it was nice but seemed to wear out faster then I would have thought. The mtx has too deep of a magnet for what I want to do with it. any ideas what its worth? MINT shape

Alright cool. Yeah I had a 15 9500 before this seemed to heat up quite a bit. I never had a powerful enough amp for this. only 400wrms so its been babied. I tossed it on cl last night. See what happens.

This sub I didn't clip. My old sub had a hifonics 1608d on it. i'm sure it had enough power to it. had dual batteries. It would get warm after some use.
lol, there is no way a 1608 would fully power a 9500. By all means, any amp will work on that sub, but turning up the gain to try and get a underpowered amp to push the sub a little more is going to hurt the driver.

almost anything would be better than that MTX, especially that SA-10. I wouldn't get that JL, they're super overpriced(from what I've heard)
I dont think so buddy the 9500's are good subs. Dont give advice if you dont know what your talking about
