Opinions on hifonics brutus elite 1700 (BE1700.1D)

Looking for opinions on hifonics brutus elite 1700. I'm looking for a cheap replacement for an RF amp that crapped out on me (battery went out, think low voltage killed the amp.)

Sonics got them factory refurnished right now for $150.

I really don't like refurbished electronics, but that's just me. I got one DOA from sonic that damaged one of my speakers when I hooked it up. As soon as the amp turned on, it sent DC current to one channel. I ended up sending it back and they gave me in-store credit.

I had that amp in my wife's car with an extra batt and ran at one ohm and it just stopped working. Went In to protect, nothin was burnt on the board. Then I hooked up a older Memphis 1000d with 4 40amp fuses and it was like night n day difference. What about an AQ 1200.1?

I'm just trying to keep it under $200. I'd love an AQ amp, but my last amp was used and I'm wanting some kind of warranty. And I'm needing close to 1800 watts.

Well these clamp 2200 watt clean all day. My buddy had 2 and they ran cold and never shut off. I know there 239 but what's 39 more dollars.
